Sadly it can be disabled via chrome task manager.

This extension is perfect for those who procrastinate. It's for the lazy person who mindlessly browses websites like reddit at work. This extension was made for people like me. Now, I only waste about 20mins from the work day instead of 200mins.
This has been such a useful tool. I often find that while doing work, I'll just "stop off" at facebook/reddit for a few minutes. Unfortunately, those minutes turn to hours. StayFocusd slaps me in the face and says, "hey what are you doing. SHOULDN'T YOU BE WORKING?" Yes, StayFocusd, I should be working. I should be working even instead of writing this review.. My procrastination knows no bounds! BOUT TO NUKE SOME WEBSITES. As an engineering student, I fully endorse this extension.
really good extension, only it would be great if the timer were per hour or per a set period of time.

Apply the Nuclear setting to run over a couple of days, make sure you have the challenge mode turned on, and as the extension dialog box claims: May God have mercy on you, because you will become a lean mean working machine. You will be so desperate to find a means to procrastinate that you end up writing a review for this wonderful extension to procrastinate. Only suggestion is to add a per site time allowed instead of an aggregrate. But otherwise well deserving of the 5 stars :)
