I loved it until 2 things changed... it went from 1 click to 2. I could deal with that, but today, I am required to purchase. There are a few pricing options, but the price point is too high for me in terms of how many other subscriptions I as a teacher pay for. I can't do it, and I'm frustrated with this situation. I wish I'd known they were going to hit me with this. I'd have never used it in the first place. Instead, I unwittingly have come to depend on this solution. It would be more fair to offer a free trial and let the user know for how long that will be. So, "buyer" beware that there is an unstated limit to free use.

I'm mostly happy. I used this a lot when it was entirely free and it was the best solution I found. As another reviewer explains, the two clicks instead of one is frustrating. (I don't know if there's a way to differentiate between left and right click on Chrome extensions. If so, right click could be account & options?) I want to support the developers of this app, which has helped me by buying a lifetime license, which removes the 5x free OCR readings per day. The lifetime price is also well-priced, so it's worth it. It is mostly accurate. Not 100% (is OCR ever 100% accurate?), and it takes a little adjusting when it comes to large amounts of text or text at an angle from photos. All-in-all, it's accurate enough for me and the quickest solution for quick text snippets in situations where I don't need to convert a lot of text. If I need to convert lots of text, I use AI.
