Well now you can. Install the extension and visit it's options page for more details about how it works!

Note - you have to manually allow access to file URLs once the extension is installed, similar to how you might allow extensions in incognito mode.

Was looking for a gif viewer that can play the gifs at full speed. this was the only one that worked perfectly.
I think there is useless for external image viewer soon. Because of the extension is more powerful now. Is it possible to add a drag image function?
i wish there was possible to zoom in even more than just fit image to the screen size, although the same can be accomplished with ctrl+/- so no big issue
