Toolkit for YNAB is a general purpose extension that adds features to YNAB and makes it more flexible. Have it your way!
There are many different features available once installing the Toolkit for YNAB. You can see the full list here: https://github.com/toolkit-for-ynab/toolkit-for-ynab/blob/master/docs/feature-list.md
All of these are configurable with options in the extension options page.
Features under consideration and the general status of the project is on our Trello Board here: https://trello.com/b/EzOvXlil/ynab-enhanced-roadmap. Feel free to vote, comment and suggest new features.
If you want to contribute, it's best if you can let us know so we don't double up on effort. You can see what is being worked on and by whom on the roadmap.
This is an open source community developed and maintained extension. It is not affiliated with YNAB in any way (other than that we use it) and YNAB has not endorsed this at all. You Need a Budget and YNAB are registered trademarks of Steine LLC and/or one of its subsidiaries.

This extension is the only thing standing between me and either going back to YNAB 4 or ditching YNAB entirely. It has improved the functionality of the web version so much; I'm especially grateful for the running balance, Reports, hiding the Age of Money, adding back the check # column (WHY DID THEY TAKE THIS AWAY?!?) and allowing <Enter> to actually mean "Enter." I can't say "Thank You" enough unless you have a Paypal somewhere I can donate to.
This add-on should be implemented straight into YNAB. There's no way around that, it is completely insane that nYNAB does not have these feature, this really is a must have. However, this addon does introduce noticable lag when browsing the account tab, and adding columns such as Running Balance will make the column size "jump" in length whenever you add a transaction. I also do have a bug when I select transactions that a long black line shows under the previously selected transaction. It disappears when I click 2-3 more transactions, but then those have a line under them. So all in all: Feature wise a must have, but it does have bugs and you will be able to tell it is an addon that forces YNAB to behave a certain way, most noticeably in performance.

Seriously this fixed YNAB for me. Thank you. Even if it causes a hiccup here or there, totally worth it. And I actually haven't seen any problems yet. Running balance alone was worth it. Thank you thank you thank you!!!
Outstanding! Just came across this and my interest in YNAB is back! Without this toolkit the new web version was a sad and limited "evolution" of YNAB4. So glorious to be able to customize all this to suit your specific needs. Huge huge thank you to the team making this happen and for welcoming the feedback and voting from the community. wow.
RUINING BALANCE!!! Thank you so much. I needed a running balance because I don't do bank imports and I would want it even if I was doing direct import. It helps me forecast my budget out for months much more accurately than I could do otherwise.
YNAB should pay you because you may have just saved me from going back to Mint... Thank you for creating this. I don't understand why it has taken them so long to make basic features that were available in YNAB4 available in nYNAB. Pretty frustrating. But you are a hero!
SAD that a Chrome extension solves all of nYNAB disasters. HAPPY that I found it and gain that core functionality back. REPORTS!!!! Great job team!
extremely useful and fabulous, i was about to dump YNAB and revert back to my sophisticated excel sheet or move to MINT for evaluation, but you have changed the whole mindset by covering all basic missing features in YNAB, you should get some income from this as you deserve it more than they do from my point of view or you should sell it to them since they spent 8 months in developing the reports and they didn't deliver it till now without mentioning the extra features you have and they dont on the road map!!! somehow i am curios to know if you have another future releases that they do :-> give me a hug bro, 10K thank you can you develope the mobile app too ;-> instead of YNAB current APP
