The ultimate companion extension for YNAB. Over the years I've learned to use YNAB for my business and personal life but some of the native feature were lacking. The ability to customize YNAB more to my liking has been really helpful. My suggestion to to add the extension and toy around with it a bit to see what settings give you the most flexibility in how you use YNAB.

LOVE this tool kit. Using on Apple Silicon Mac Mini M1. Just giving feed back that when I click on the 'Reflect' Reports I get a message "Something Went Wrong An error occurred in Toolkit for YNAB (a browser extension you installed to modify YNAB). Uninstall the extension and refresh your browser to get back in business". If I refresh it works in the 'Reflect' Reports, but every time I click on the 'Reflect' Reports I get the above message. Hope someone can fix this. I did uninstall the extension, quit Chrome, started Chrome up again and installed Toolkit extension again and pasted my settings into 'Export/Import'. The fault returned. Uninstalled/reinstalled extension again and used default settings - All's OK now.

I use YNAB religiously and this tool kit makes that a pleasure. The reports are superior to the YNAB baked in reports. The user interface tweaks that let me see status of budget items, account details etc in a more friendly way etc... I love it. Like any extension to someone elses product, there are occasional hiccups. sometimes I have had to disable the tool until an update is available (I assume usual cause is YNAB changing something and toolkit needing time to catch up). For example, the current version has an issue when moving from the toolkit reports to any other screen but a screen refresh and its good. I can live with that to get the 90% of the time use of its features otherwise

I don't find these reports very useful. I do really wish you would offer a Statement of Cash Flows report that shows beginning cash, +net income, +/- change in debt=ending cash, so we can see how cash moved in and out of our accounts, and how much of any net loss was covered by debt or how much debt was paid down by net income.

Why YNAB are not putting their own resources into building these great reports as part of their product is beyond me! This extension is a must have to get 110% out of the the program. Is there a way we can submit suggestions to you for the toolkit?? (edit 12/3/25)

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS EXTENSION! Honestly this developer needs to be hired by the YNAB team because their additional functionality is so amazing and makes YNAB so much useful for power users. I think AI should be the next step into feature development :3
