This extension unlocks 1080p playback for Netflix and add other quality of life improvements as well. It was originally developed by truedread, but the original project has not been maintained for a while, so I forked the project and released this new version.

*** Features ***

- Play movies in 1080p in Chrome. Depending on the DRM used by the title, this may not work, especially non-Netflix ones.

- Unlock 5.1 audio where available.

- Automatically switch to the highest available bitrate.

- Optionally disable use of the AV1, VP9 and AVChigh codec, which use lower bitrates and don't support hardware decoding on some platforms.

Aug 25th 2024 - saw this was available in a comment on the reviews of "Netflix 1080p" which does not work anymore (maybe due to the manifest stuff on Google). This one works wonderfully! (On Brave) Thank you very much! <3

for me doesn't work anymore :/ edit: i'm in italy edit 2: in my case it doesn't work with anything, the bitrate is always very low

I love this! Are you able to do something similar for Crunchyroll on Chrome, maybe? This extension is awesome and one for Crunchyroll would be amazing! :)

it dont work when i check 'Use 5.1 audio when available.' with 'Language Reactor' can you fix this
