this is such a simple thing, but it provides so much fun and joy, somehow, despite its deceptive simplicity. yes, it's just illustrations of cats on your tabs, but it has so much life and heart that it's also NOT just illustrations of cats on your tabs. I love the artwork and the animations. I love the adorable, silly, delightful randomized names. I love the little goodies that pop up over time for decorating the cats with, and to arrange and re-arrange them into new ensembles. (fedora+shades+keyboard+kitten= 2 kittehs on a mission from god... but i digress) I love the special cat types, who may be waiting to surprise you with something a bit different at the next tab. I even love that the dev has found a way to incorporate purchases so they can earn some well-deserved income from this extension, but in an unobtrusive, optional way. I love even more that purchases actually reward you with more content instead of being simply a donation or ad remover. for myself, I can not resist the idea of replacing all these pesky cats with some doggos, which for me will be well worth the extra dollar or two. still the best part, is that you can enjoy this extension so passively it's almost like it came with chrome, or you can dive deeper and discover all the little secrets and goodies hiding within. so, WHY NOT break up the boredom of blank new tabs with some shenanigans? is it because you hate fun? i think you'd have to hate fun to find a reason to stick with boring old non-catty tabs.

I currently live in student accommodation, so owning a cat is not something I'm allowed to do. This app however brings me lots of joy as I get to look at a different cat that I can decorate every time I open a new tab. It might not be the same as owning a real one but it makes me happy regardless. I also love the app so much that I when I come across a cat I love due to name or background I will screen shot it and send it to my boyfriend in the hope he will love it as much as I did. Would defiantly recommend this app especially cat lovers to anyone as it will definitely brighten up your day.
