I hate this extension so much. I never had ads like the other people are complaining about, but this is useless and just a waste. I thought it would customize your new tab BUTTON but no it customizes the TAB itself. This extenstion is horrible I'm removing it from Chrome.
No notification was given that an "upgrade" had added embedded advertising. Even though you can turn them off, it has still presumably been sending my private clickstream data to a third party since the last auto-update. This is a clear breach of European data protection laws, apart from anything else. I recognise that the developer needs to make money, but that stuff should be defaulted to OFF until the user has granted EXPLICIT permission, perhaps through a dialog saying "ANTP would like to offer you special deals. Would you like to enable this?" and not sending ANYTHING to the advertiser until the user has clicked "Yes". Saying "it was mentioned in the app description" doesn't cover it, as you don't see that as part of the update process. It's relying on people not noticing what was going on, and explains why Chrome has been trying to play sound every few minutes for the last several weeks (so the ads aren't even non-intrusive!)
This extension inserts advertises ("Awesome New Tab Deals") into webpages that you browse. DO NOT INSTALL.
I have used this for a year but i'm deleting it because of the adds :(
Uninstalling. I hate ads. It's unfortunate as this was one of my favorites.
Loved it UNTIL the ads started to ruin my browsing. Will have to uninstall it now :( I hope they listen to the latest reviews and change it back!!

loved it! UNTIL ALL THESE ADS STARTED SHOWING UP AND THEY SAID "AWESOME NEW TAB DEALS" SO I UNINSTALLED. I USED IT FOR OVER A YEAR BUT THE ADS RUINED IT
