I downloaded this and have been using it for a day. Overall, I like it but the functionality versus time to customize is questionable. BTW, I have NOT seen any ads since I opted out. I like how you can add and delete apps, widgets and bookmarks, move them around and use the page snapshot function or change colors. It appears that the only usable widgets are basic google widgets or a few made by this developer, and apps are basically just a bookmark. So it's essentially a better bookmark organizer relative to the google start page.
This used to be a great app to bookmark sites but since they added adds, its like I installed a malware. Adds popping up everywhere. Can't even function any more. It supposedly gives you the option to disable the adds but the adds still pop up on screen. The inventors of this app really screwed up going commercial. I guess they didn't have adds in the beginning to build up a loyal following and now decided to cash in. Horrible for those using it great for them. Avoid like a plague.

What? I had it for awhile and it was cool, but now it disappeared. What gives?
I've used this app for almost a year now, ever since Chrome changed the home page to the un-customizable crap it is now. This extension is what Chrome home page SHOULD be. One of my favorite features, aesthetics wise, is the "completely transparent background" option for the icons. I have all of my icons as PNG files with transparent backgrounds and I think it looks amazing to see JUST the logo w/o a big white background or w/e color. Lastly, the advertisements are OPTIONAL! You CAN disable them! The features included are beyond what a free app usually includes, so a few ads isn't surprising. My only hope is that they offer a PRO version that is simply a reasonable one-time fee. I'd pay a few dollars for the free version w/o no ads (I'm hesitant to "donate" because if the optional ads change to mandatory, I'd be up a certain creek...). I do not, however, have any interest what-so-ever in the monthly fee option. Just my opinion. Overall it's a fantastic extension with a boat-load of user customization options.
Yep. I'm going the same way as everyone else. I'm done with it now they have installed annoying adverts. I really don't know why they had to spoil it - will look elsewhere. EDIT: Now removed off all my computers - the ads seem to be getting bigger, more intrusive and on sites where there is nothing to do with adverts. DO NOT INSTALL - ADWARE!

It was great once. On some point the Author decided to include Ads in this App, with the delusional explanation: "This is what made the Internet what it is today". Luckily you can deactivate them in the Settings. No option to buy a license without the hassle of any Ads or related settings. Luckily Google continues to improve Chrome and the need for this app disapeared.
Loved it, but the superimposed ads EVERYWHERE make it annoying. Look up a trek bike, get an ad on a toy..
