Firstly its from google so that gives its a trust factor as which extension is going to check our email content then that app should be trusted. Secondly it works fine in all cases. I'm now heavily dependent on it. Just ensure that you are logged in permanently if you want to get its notification (count of new mails) updated.

It doesn't seem to update when emails have been viewed in an external desktop client like Outlook. So despite me having viewed all of the emails, and Outlook having reported this back to Gmail (hence why they show as read in the Gmail interface in a browser) the Mail checker count figure doesn't go down. I know it does if I just view my emails through Gmail online, but the last style update to Gmail is so horrible that (despite trying to force myself to do so) I cannot use it, hence why I am now using Outlook (which is only marginally better itself admittedly!). So, if this starts registering read counts properly then I may change my rating, but for now I honestly can't describe it as anything more than 'OK'.
