Like the others here, I have used this extension for the last few years... completely unstable now. I'm using a 3rd party checker now out of necessity. I would rather go back to this one. I hope you fix it Google. :\
The icon no longer updates with the number of unread messages in the inbox, and there is not configuration option to change how frequently it checks. I'm not sure what happened, but it has been lots better in the past.
Non si attiva mai, a meno chè non vado nelle opzioni e aggiorno.
Doesn't work well. Completely non-configurable. Doesn't update counter frequently. Can't set it to change focus to current gmail tab instead of opening new ones.
such a simple extension, made by google itself, and it fails to deliver.
It's take a long time to detect new e-mails. I prefer the extension check plus for gmail.
It's very helpful but it's too bad that you can't update it manualy because it doesen't shows you always the actually number of mails
In the last 3 weeks, this extension has become unusable. Reporting error in the extensions window that it is only designed for the dev channel of chrome, through to not providing notifications of waiting emails
