I've been using this extension since I started on Chrome years ago, and it has served me brilliantly . . . until the last 2-3 weeks. Now, it gets frozen on the number of emails I had when I first started my browser in the morning. What's more, the "report bug" button takes me to a Google help page, which tells me to contact the developer directly. Please fix this, Google! :( EDIT: It is now working, but still not refreshing as frequently as it used to. SECOND EDIT: All fixed! Back to its great form.

Since there is no check now feature, here is a work around. Right click it and then click the 'Manage Extensions...'. In the new tab that opens, find the Google Mail Checker spot and click to disable, then click to enable. that will cause it to refresh.
Something fu**ed up and addon stopped working... I have two errors now: - 'background.persistent' requires Google Chrome dev channel or newer. - 'alarms' requires Google Chrome dev channel or newer.
I liked it until it stopped working. It shows a ? now.
So far, it's often wrong about the number of emails I have. In fact, right now it says I have one email when in fact I have none. I've clicked on the icon, refreshed the page, and it still says I have one email.

I don't know what the refresh rate is on this thing but whenever I clear my inbox it shows I have mail for what seems like a few minutes and that is annoying. Please lower the refresh rate on this app to something closer to real time.
