Does not work anymore. Error: background.persistent' requires Google Chrome dev channel or newer. 'alarms' requires Google Chrome dev channel or newer. PLEASE FIX!
Doesn't refresh new mail count on it's own. Shows the correct number of new emails when I first open Chrome. After I check mail it stays at that number unless I deactivate and reactivate the extension. Don't see any settings to set the refresh rate. I would think it would do it automatically. It's a nice to have tool, but not extremely useful if it's not reporting the correct information.
Keeps breaking, I have to disable and then re-enable it in my settings to get it to work again.
It's a great idea in theory, but just plain doesn't work. Everyday when you start your computer it's grayed out. you have to bring up Gmail for it to activate, and by then you've bypassed it. Then it works for a little while and within an hour or so, its back to being gray and useless. I was surprised Google came out with something that functions so poorly.
A very basic extension, but never seems to actually work.

It was great. Now it's broken. Please fix it!
Started off great for the past 2 years, but suddenly it won't update when new mail comes in or the number won't go down. Using 21.0.1180.89 m
I love this one!!
started off nicely but then got hung up displaying an old number of new messages. stopped updating the number.
