The app is typically good, but recently, I've been getting email notifications even when there's nothing in my inbox.

Has been great for a long time but the past few weeks (probably due to a Chrome update), it doesn't clear when I read messages.
Worked great for many months but in the past week it says I have messages when I read them 20 minutes before. Disappointing...
Does not update unless you close and restart Chrome. Would be great to preview messages right from a popup instead of opening the entire GMail app.
Same problem here as others since "update". I switched over to Checker Plus for Gmail....seems to work much better. Sorry, but I removed this extension.
i REALLY like this little thing and it was working perfectly up until maybe a week ago? now it refuses to update with the current amount of mail and sometimes it just stays grayed out, even after i just signed in. i'm not sure if this is something i have to fix or not, but hopefully i can find a solution because this is so useful.
Used to be great, recent update causes it to update very infrequently and be rather unreliable (did I get a new message or is that 1 the old message I archived 10 minutes ago).
It worked really well for the past 6+ months since I've used it, but this week it stopped working correctly. It wouldn't accurately show the number of unread emails. It seems to have stopped refreshing occasionally.
Even when I check my mail, I see the same number of notifications. To 'refresh' the notifications, I have to quit chrome and reopen. Almost useless.
