This works really well until few days ago. Now it either appears grey, or it doesn't sync at all to update the number of new emails. I hope this will be fixed soon.

Love the idea, but sometimes it doesn't sync after I check my email and keeps telling me (5) or something when it's been zero for hours. An ability to "Force Check" would definitely be great.

Like many others have said recently, it worked great for a while but has been really buggy for the last two weeks, either appearing as a gray icon with a question mark or showing that I have unread mail long after the message has been read. I also don't like that the "Report Bug" like on the details page links to a site that offers no option for actually reporting a bug.

Check out Dávid Karnok's solution to the extension update problem: "Stopped working, but I was able to fix it. Locate the file C:\Users\{your user here}\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Extensions\mihcahmgecmbnbcchbopgniflfhgnkff\4.3.4_0\background.js then change the following line chrome.alarms.create('refresh', {'delayInMinutes': delay}); to chrome.alarms.create('refresh', {'delayInMinutes': Math.ceil(delay)}); (It seems the delayInMinutes accepts only integer values since a few versions ago, and the delay is float.)" Worked for me

It is very useful and smart. But recently it can not conncect to the server itself. I have to click it when I need to check my gmail because the icon is always grey. I hope this problem can be fixed quickly. After all this is very useful.
