This is very useful. One suggestion I have would be to add some kind of audio notification just like the voice extension. Update: 02-Jul-2012 This extension has been broken. It always opens a new tab when clicked instead of finding an existing Gmail tab and giving it focus. It has worked in the past.

Small, lightweight extension. Right away after running browser it still needs to connect to email to check the mails and it can take some seconds. Furthermore it is perfect extension. 5/5

Solid, unobtrusive app with a few nagging loose ends. I use Google's multiple login to keep track of two accounts, but this extension only seems to recognize whichever account is signed in originally. Strange that Google's own product doesn't take their other services into account. It also seems to update only sporadically - there must be a time delay while the extension communicates with Gmail, but it's frustrating to have to open my mail anyway just to be sure my mail-checker app is up to date! I think my gripes could be fixed with a quick-click manual update or, even better, an option to set updates at regular intervals.

I like it but it constantly goes grey and doesn't notify me of messages. I'm unsure why this happens or how to fix it It's been going on for the whole time I've used it, since the Chrome strore opened. This had lead to Inbox disasters.
