This extension works by having a huge database of site-specific CSS modifications. By default, it only modifies the appearance of supported sites mostly in a good way and does not touch the rest. It also has an "Enable" button that tries to apply some general recoloring rules on the current site even if unsupported - sometimes improving the appearance. One drawback comes from the fact that it uses a huge database of CSS modifications: this database needs to be maintained. There are some sites that started supporting the dark theme natively (e.g., youtube.com or forum.openwrt.org when logged in), and this extension still recolors them. The result is still a good-looking dark theme, but not the intended appearance. Fortunately, this extension can be turned off on a per-site basis.
