I've used Ghostery for quite a while. I was in love with version 6 and tbh I was taken aback by the new UI. But once I "got" the idea of the new interface it started working for me. It is so simple! You can simply turn off all trackers and Ghostery will tell you if the site is not working correctly ("broken pages") because of the trackers you've turned off and allow you to turn on just the trackers you need to get the site working. Very cool. There are some other features from v6 I'd like to see - like Beacons - but I hear they'll be back in a future version - all-in-all, this is a very good product with a simple, powerful interface.

I love it - Ghostery is super helpful to see what different sites are doing for online tracking/marketing. I like the new update too :-)

used to like it... before the horrible update how to fix it? ... 1 fix the option page... it doesn't show options anymore 2 make the tracker popup transparent again 3 make tracker popup grey, not purple 4 give users choices like appearance oh also options options options and options... please

Ghostery has been a lifesaver for years, but alas, this update has utterly ruined it. When you click on your ghostery blue button, all I am getting is a HUGE white square that's completely blank. Nothing like the dropdown of before where I could whitelist a tracker for a site or disable/reenable trackers/the entire ghostery if i needed to check settings for various sites. The purple animation is very distracting and nearly impossible to read for someone with low vision like me. Guys, I loved you. You made dealing with site content so easy. But this? This is utterly unusable. Bye. Loved you truly.

I'm amazed at the number of trackers on the pages that I visit. To the people bothered by the Purple Box: I think that you can disable it in the settings. Take a look.
