does it well. wish it would work for desktop in general, and I think shazam should release a desktop app, so that people dont have to have the media playing in their browser to get it's name and artist, but other than that, this review is about the browser edition. and it does it's job. splendid. area for improvement, but satisfactory nonetheless.

Having this super-powerful tool at your disposal as a browser extension is really neat. Of course, as with all technologies, it's not without its weaknesses, but weaknesses without some sort of workaround for this extension are honestly few and far between. For context, I'm a serial playlist-maker. Because of this extension, I've developed the habit of listening for songs and pieces that fit them whenever I'm watching a film or show. It's gotten to the point where the "sound" of a playlist becomes recognizable outside of the playlist itself way more often then it used to. It's such a functionally simple tool, but that's honestly why I like it as much as I do. It's not a stretch, or at the very least not much of a stretch, to say that this extension has deepened my enjoyment of films, shows, and all sorts of video media. I'm honestly kind of shocked as to how much praise I'm giving it, but it really is a heck of a lot of fun to use!
