This was a life-saver. Thank you Cameron!! It's the only option I've found to download albums in order from Google Photos and it works great: fast, simple, and cheap ($3 every 6 months, and very easy to cancel). Just don't use strange characters in your google photo album name like colons or it can't download correctly.
Fantastic App thanks Cameron. Saved me hours of manual renaming/sorting. For the next release please consider downloading albums as zip files!
Great app! It would be nice if the downloads automatically went into the corresponding folder (album name).
Saved me about 10 hours of work re-ordering photos... thank you! One improvement would be to allow you to choose the download folder in the extension settings, rather than the rather clumsy browser default. Otherwise, perfect solution!

This is awesome! It allows you to keep your photos in order when you download! Why didn't Google allow this?
Once you get it to launch, it works great. The problem is getting it to launch. After trying to get it to work on Chrome on two different computers (mac and PC) & multiple restarts, I finally downloaded and installed Microsoft Edge and got it to work on my mac that way (after fiddling around with it for way too long). Getting the application to launch is hard and time consuming (its easy to get it to add to Chrome as an extension, but it never launches a window giving you the chance to subscribe which is what you need to get it to actually work). Once it launches, its perfect, easy to use and super quick. Just took several hours of fiddling around with it to get it to launch. Others mention same problem.

Okay, this is genius. When I first starting using Google Photos, I could not believe that you could not download without preserving the order of the photos. This is such an essential feature that I figured Google was working on it and it would soon be a feature. Well, years later and they still don't have this obvious feature. Album Download is a great elegant solution! jThanks!
