The "Bookmarks Manager and Viewer" extension provides a panel view to modify your bookmarks. The panel is equipped with fuzzy search (like Google search) to help you find the matching bookmarks. You have a set of tools to edit your bookmarks on the fly. It is even possible to drag a bookmark to a new position in the tree or create a new directory and place the bookmark inside it.

Features:

1. Fuzzy Search: Use to find matching items even if you are not sure what the exact title or URL of the stored bookmark is.

2. Validation Button: Delete broken bookmarks or find duplicated bookmarks recursively.

3. Edit Properties: Modify the title or address of a bookmark

4. Toolbar Color: Detect if the current page is bookmarked or not

I miss the old Firefox bookmark organizer, which showed the folder of a bookmark in the details pane. It's been a long while since they removed it, I guess lack of demand. Anyway, this manager does come close -- I like how it also doesn't open a link by single left-click -- while when you click one of the bookmarks in the search results the folder view shifts to show which one it's in, the actual folder name is scrolled out of view at the top (unless it happens to be one of the first bookmarks in the bookmarks bar.) Another wonderful addition would be a "find duplicates" search for the current bookmark. Anyway, keep up the great work!

It provides minimal functionality - you can manage bookmarks and plug in does not crash. It is very uncomfortable to use.

What an amazing piece of work. Just added 4 shortcuts to a folder, then said, I should have added them to a subfolder. Took me less than a minute to make the subfolder and move 4 shortcuts with drag and drop. Does what I need.

Occasionally, the modified bookmark content cannot be saved, and you need to try several times before the modification is successful.

i have a ton of bookmarks of varying types, from cooking recipes to tech stuff and study resources, so searching thru them is a pain with the built in Chrome bookmark search function. Needed a way to drill down folders and search within those. This solves it! And quite sleek at doing that.
