SponsorBlock lets you skip over sponsors, intros, outros, subscription reminders, and other annoying parts of YouTube videos. SponsorBlock is a crowdsourced browser extension that lets anyone submit the start and end times of sponsored segments and other segments of YouTube videos. Once one person submits this information, everyone else with this extension will skip right over the sponsored segment.

You can also skip over non music sections of music videos.

This is open source and the entire database is public.

I had this exact idea years ago, to make an addon that skips sponsors in videos and people self report where they are, I don't know how to develop addons but I'm super happy this is a thing, just found out about it now I have another idea for an addon, basically it adds it's own dislike button and you dislike through the addon and it shows how many people also done this, if everyone who used youtuber used an addon that done that, we'd basically have the dislike button back, anyone who knows how to make that is more than welcome to use my idea Anyway, getting off topic, this is cool, 5 stars

I'm having some issues that are a bit annoying but I still think this deserves 5 stars. It has definitely saved me from much more annoyance than it has caused me annoyance lmao. But here's my problem: for some reason it will remove my whitelisted channels after a while. Sometimes it's a few hours and sometimes it's a few days to weeks. Also I haven't figured out yet how to see a list of my whitelisted channels (if there even is an accessable list?). And sometimes the extension doesn't load/detect that there's a video and I have to refresh the page, but that's not such a big deal.
