SponsorBlock lets you skip over sponsors, intros, outros, subscription reminders, and other annoying parts of YouTube videos. SponsorBlock is a crowdsourced browser extension that lets anyone submit the start and end times of sponsored segments and other segments of YouTube videos. Once one person submits this information, everyone else with this extension will skip right over the sponsored segment.

You can also skip over non music sections of music videos.

This is open source and the entire database is public.

worked relatively well for the first week or so I've used it, a total of 2 hours saved by skipping sponsor segments, but it just suddenly stopped working. sometimes the segments dont show up on the videos or others where it does but just doesnt skip them.

Used to work every time, but stopped working in the past few days and never skips a promotion or preamble. I can see the colored bars indicating the skippable segments -- but even though the app is enabled with the "auto-skip" option selected, they continue to play and I have to skip manually. I guess at the very least I can see where they end so I can click on them manually. If there's any specific info I can provide let me know. Edit: I also just noticed that sometimes it doesn't even show the marked segments. I just loaded a video that started off right at the beginning with a sponsored ad -- no green bar showed. I hit refresh an the green bar was suddenly there.

Install extension → it auto-generates an anonymous userID → extension automatically fetches known segments for any YouTube video from sponsor.ajay.app server → skips segments in real-time during playback. Users can optionally submit new segments by marking start/end times, and vote on existing segments.
