SponsorBlock lets you skip over sponsors, intros, outros, subscription reminders, and other annoying parts of YouTube videos. SponsorBlock is a crowdsourced browser extension that lets anyone submit the start and end times of sponsored segments and other segments of YouTube videos. Once one person submits this information, everyone else with this extension will skip right over the sponsored segment.

You can also skip over non music sections of music videos.

This is open source and the entire database is public.

Worked great for years but just today started failing to autoskip the sponsors, I assume that this is because of youtube changing something on the backend to prevent the addon from working, because ublock origin stopped properly blocking youtube ads today as well, both addons breaking on the same day is too much coincidence for me, so this is youtube shenanigans. Leaving a review so the devs know that there is a new workaround the youtube is trying to avoid sponsorblocks autoskip mechanism. Would appreciate a fix! Thanks for the great addon!

It worked once so I gave it one star. It's odd it sees the sponsors, it highlights them in green, all the switches are turned on for the work, but I'll be damned if he just ignores it settings and plays the sponsors continuously video after video. I don't believe it's anything that I have done, since I haven't done anything other than install it. I guess the app just kind of sucks all the server that does not support the app. PS chrome is up-to-date, computer is up-to-date… MacBook

it gets out of hand very quickly with those people who cant tolerate even the smallest and harmless ads in the videos. i dont mind quick mentions of some products and it becomes twice as annoying to see a skip in the middle of the video and also loosing the context of the video itself. i want to skip raid shadow legends ads and the ones that are long and have nothing to do with the video itself.

While it does highlight the sponsors in a video, for whatever reason it doesn't automatically SKIP them most of the time even though I have enabled it. I tried rebooting the browser, and uninstalling then re-installing the extension and it's still not doing what I want it to do. Very frustrating and disappointing since I'm sick of seeing a sponsorship every 30 seconds!

YouTube videos contain embedded sponsor reads, self-promotion, intros, outros, and subscription reminders that waste viewers' time. SponsorBlock crowdsources segment timestamps so all users automatically skip these interruptions.

Install extension → it auto-generates an anonymous userID → extension automatically fetches known segments for any YouTube video from sponsor.ajay.app server → skips segments in real-time during playback. Users can optionally submit new segments by marking start/end times, and vote on existing segments.
