I don't know how they do it but it sure works! Absolutely a must for Vtuber fans who frequently watch Japanese Vtuber streams. So far I think it only works for livestreams but not for livestream VODs, but I could be wrong, haven't tested it on VODs enough times.

(Watching Shion's Among Us Stream at Dec. 3, 2020, 9:00 PM Singapore Time) Was confused at first... But a minute later, A translation appeared but rather than the precise translations on what the idols are saying... But rather, it is done via a summary of the selected conversation like "Miko and Shion both agrees that FBK is sus." by Emad31, "Okayu was on the way to O2 when she found the body. She said that it was probably not a recent kill." by Emad31 & "Looks like everyone was with each other except Okayu. They sus her" by Emad31. Simple, Convenient, Easy to understand and is Correlates to the stream portrayed on it Live. Sure not all will be translate but you have to consider that it is translated by a translator LIVE, a Human Being is translating it not a Super Computer that can translate it at 0.01 speed. To the Translators... I don't know on how you all get paid for this but Keep up the great work!!! Saw this btw... lol "Boing Boing" & "I'm God nice to meet you" by Little Boss

It's really nice! As a suggestion i think it will be really helpful if we could add our own filters,such as adding certain users that dont necesarly use [EN] or any other labbel, but they offer contex and some personal views, if we could add manually the messages of some users it will be more awesome than already is!

Had to rate 2 stars because it never get the chance to work. TLs from chat does not appear in LiveTL because they have [英訳/EN] in them instead of [en]. Suggestion: allow users to add they're own language tag. Apps like this that rely on user chat needs a lot of customisation.

Yabe... due to this, the hole just gotten deeper. A recommended extension, just not to expect translations to happen in all streams as the translations are being done in "Live" in "Realtime" which is an amazing feat they are offering
