Finally. I hate the google AI stuff and wish they would stop trying to shove it down our throats. Any new feature like this that is so pervasive and refuses to allow customers to opt out is immediately an object of suspicion in my view. All of these tech executives have been getting greedier and more blood-sucking ever since the "AI revolution" began and they seem to lay awake at night trying to figure out how to make the most money to make more people miserable and convince them that they are actually happier when they are not. I'm tired of having to add "-ai" to literally every search -- which brings up actual good sources rather than a slop answer born from an amalgamation of anything from reddit posts to whatever obscure source with actual good sources buried in there somewhere. This makes it so much easier to just search whatever you wanted to search and not have to jump through extra hoops for the basics.

if you use opera gx, you need to check the permissions for the extension and allow everything for it to work. after a couple refreshes, the ai overviews disappear. 10/10 extension.
