I love my capital one credit card but do not care for their shopping coupon app. Was told that I would get $25 to add the extension via my browser. I did that only to be told that I had to use an iphone to scan the qr code to get it. It knew I was an android user. So why offer what you wont be giving me. Honestly BS, don't download this or add to your browser.

bait and switch $25 dollar offer -- after installing and using extension, purchasing at a participating retailer, was told I could claim the $25 dollars via iphone app. Prior to this moment, there had been no bold print or even secondary text indication that i would need to involve a seperate phone app, let alone that it would only be available for apple phones and that my android phone would explicitly be excluded. f these people.

Intentionally Misleading – Designed to Confuse and Cost You Capital One Shopping is a separate system from Capital One Offers (the actual credit card rewards program) — but they don't tell you that clearly. This browser extension is aggressively pushed when you sign up for a Capital One card, but it’s not linked to your credit card rewards at all. It’s basically a bad Rakuten clone and just finds coupons (when it works). It even tracks your browsing to serve ads. Here's the shady part: If you activate this extension while shopping, it can invalidate your actual Capital One Offers cashback — the one you get from clicking through your bank account. So not only does this extension not help, it can actively prevent you from getting your real rewards.
