I created the extension to solve the problem with YouTube like/dislike rating system (especially since the dislike number was removed from YouTube). My solution is a convenient star rating system in the form of a browser extension that allows you to rate YouTube videos from 1 to 5 stars and see their ratings.
The difference between the rating systems is subtle, yet significant.
*Star rating* - we associate it with quality. If you see a video rated with 5 stars, you will think it is excellent quality.
*Like/dislike rating* - we associate it with preference. If you see a video that received some "likes", you will think some people prefer it, without necessarily associating it with quality.

Here are some suggestions. Add a new star, 0 stars. Icon will be a star with a slash. "1 of 5" star isn't completely 0% but 20%. Also, make total points of the review of the video and show how many people has voted which kind of star. Every user that votes will add 5 value to the maximum stars, canceling the provided stars will deduct the maximum stars by 5. Eg: 3.94(100 ratings) Display the details, "394 of 500 points" based on the rating users(100) of the video Then show how many has chosen a star 5* - 59 4* - 15 3* - 9 2* - 5 1* - 2 0* - 10
See star ratings on thumbnails (or below) would be coool
Doesn't have many users right now, but whatever. It's nice to have a way to give a more detailed rating for a video, and it's always nice to see a rating of a previous user. If you're not sure if you should install this, do it. And rate some videos, maybe I'll come across one of your ratings myself.
Works exactly as I expected. Hopefully more users will join. Thanks for providing an alternative to the standard (dis)like button
