Converts an image to PNG before showing the Save As dialog.
WebP is a new image format developed by Google. These images are small, but their format is not widely recognized yet. By converting the image to PNG, you will be able to use it in image editing programs, and/or upload it to online image hosting sites such as imgur.
The extension has a low footprint: It does not use any memory or CPU unless you use it by clicking on the context menu option.
Original release date: 3 Augustus 2013.
Update (4 January 2014): If you use Chrome 30 or lower, then you cannot save the image from some web sites (such as the Chrome Web Store). Update to Chrome 31 for an optimal user experience.
Notice (30 June 2014): Chrome 35 on KDE (Linux) has a bug that causes Chrome to crash whenever the Save As dialog is opened by an extension. Downgrade to Chrome 34 or upgrade to Chrome 36 to solve the problem.

can you plz set an option for not asking saving path every time? thx
Worked for a little bit, but doesn't work anymore since Chrome update.
"Failed: Network Error." Every time. Totally useless to save WEBP as PNG, so totally useless as an extension. :/
No funciona
Using on 500px, "failed download, network error". No network error here, normal saving is possible.
It did NOT work on any webpage and aslo does not convert a file that says WEBP....
NO FUNCIONA CON GOOGLE + PARA NADA NO GUARDA LAS IMAGENES
Doesn't work "failed - Network error"
Used to be a great 5/5 Extension but now it just pops up with "Failed - Network error" (note: nothing is wrong with my internet) Saving the image normally works and downloads still work. Extension is broken right now.
It works fine and is really useful. The only thing I wish I could do is set the default download location. Right now it points to my downloads folder and I want it to default to another directory. Is there any way to do this? Thanks!
