This is amazing. Thank you for helping out the large group of people that use backspace for back - a group that Google seems to have forgotten.
Great and essential (what the hell is the Chrome dev team thinking about ?) Would be awesome if you could also bring back the shift-backspace behavior (forward), as it is the natural complement of backspace Thanks a lot !

This is great BUT, SHIFT-Backspace used to go FORWARD again in the history. Please please please can you add that function?

You are a true hero.
Thank goodness for this fix. I just woke up to the shift + arrow 'update' and had been going crazy to try and figure out what was wrong with my computer. I had one little issue where it didn't want to work right away, but closing and reopening the browser fixed it and now it's working across all sites!
almost went back to firefox, thanks god we have extensions. dear google team, if you decided to remove the backspace feature, couldnt you at least allow users to define thier own key? google way, or the high way... pathetic
Must-have since Google decided to remove the default backspace function. Even more so when your mouse doesn't have thumb buttons for back and forward.
I don't wanna complain, but its not useful if I can't use it on youtube...
