It's WAY faster than "New Tab Redirect". I wonder when this will be built into Chrome? Seems like common sense to me.

It allows "about:blank" for new tabs! No more waiting for content to load before I can access the Internet!
Excellent. Had odd performance issues with "New Tab Redirect" which do not seem present in this extension. Plus, this extension highlights the omnibox! Brilliantly elegant! :)
VERY GOOD!!!! This is exactly what I've been searching for for years. It redirects to the saved URL faster than the other extensions of the same type. Hence extension's name & icon won't be shown while the redirection - very good. Moreover, you can use also chrome-urls - awesome!
Does not work in Opera 23
Exactly what i was looking for. Simple and working great.
Works great, except for the dealbreaker of not auto-highlighting or clearing the address in omnibox on Chrome 33 for OS X. Otherwise it is a nice little extension, fast and simple. Edit: After searching for an answer, I'm not sure it is even possible to auto-highlight the address in the omnibox. However, is it possible to clear the omnibox entirely for each new tab? That is the default behavior for Chrome's new tab page and it makes it very easy to immediately start a new web search.
Thank you! I just installed this. Just one permission, includes a drop down menu to access chrome://app, and it auto highlights the omnibox. While this may be a small thing, it was an extra step now removed. Oh yes, very fast indeed.
