Just like using Alt+Tab for Windows except now for your browser tabs. Use Ctrl+Tab or Ctrl+Q or Ctrl+`(~) or assign your own shortcut key for swapping back and forth between your last viewed tabs.

Please add the ability to hide the tab list popup without limiting me to only 2 tabs. I'll give 5 stars for that.
Hallelujah!! Finally someone's made an MRU tab extension for Chrom that actually works! Naturally, it would be better if Chrome let you configure Ctrl-Tab how you like, and using Ctrl-Q instead is a little inconvenient, but the inflexible, closed garden Chrome folks have hijacked the function of that key and won't let it be configurable. This extension makes Chrome usable for people who often work jumping between two tabs. Thank you!
Finally, someone introduced a sensible way of navigating tabs with Chrome. Great job, thanks!!!
Why cannot GOOGLE make MRU tabs? This + chrome_mru would be the best but does not work with non-english keyboard whre you have § top of the tab-button!
Must have since Google engineers are too lazy to implement one of the most standard features of a modern multi-window UI.
not working on Ubuntu 12.10 with Chromium 22
Did work in Chrome v23 until I uninstalled and reinstalled the extension.
A great workaround for a major design issue in chrome: MRU should be out of the box! I'm Sad that it is not possible to us the CTRL TAB for MRU.
Can't get it to work in Chrome v23, period. Won't save the shortcut key I enter (Ctrl+`), even after I click the SAVE button. The box is empty every time I return to the extension options.
I tried to change the shortcut to Ctrl+Tab which is the standard, but it can not be entered in the field!
