PDF.js is a Portable Document Format (PDF) viewer that is built with HTML5.

PDF.js is community-driven and supported by Mozilla. Our goal is to create a general-purpose, web standards-based platform for parsing and rendering PDFs.

This extension offers PDF.js as the default PDF viewer in Chrome. This is the official Chrome extension of the PDF.js project. Be careful of unrelated copycats.

If you want to use this viewer to view local files, visit chrome://extensions/?id=oemmndcbldboiebfnladdacbdfmadadm and put a check before "Allow access to file URLs".

Doesnt respont at all to Acrobat videos in PDF files, doesnt even try to open it?

Brings the Firefox style PDF Viewer to Chrome. Way better than Chrome's built-in feature. Shows the page number, total pages, find and all sorts of other goodies. Thanks a lot for this!

Slower than the stock PDF viewer and you can't click in the PDF at all. This means you can't open protected PDF files at all since it won't let you insert the password.

Awesome extension! Finally, a way to override forced PDF file downloads from websites! Just one minor little thing, I wish it opened PDFs in a new tab, rather than taking over the tab in which you clicked the PDF link.
