Citavi is a program for reference management and knowledge organization published by Swiss Academic Software (Switzerland). The Citavi Browser Picker help you easily transfer information from your browser to your Citavi project. The Picker uses three different methods to import bibliographic information into your Citavi project:
* Importing with the Hunter
* Finding Bibliographic Information by ISBN or DOI
* Adding Webpage Metadata
Languages: English, German, French, Spain, Italian, Portuguese, Polish

Not compatible with Chrome anymore
Absolut enttäuschend!!! Weder als Browserextension, noch als Plugin in Adobe Acrobat einsetzbar! chön, dass ich eine Webseite abspeichern kann, aber das geht auch mit den Lesezeichen, oder sogar notepad!!! Wieso kann ich keine Zitate markieren?! Im Browser kann ich die Extension nicht in geöffneten pdfs aktivieren, auch wenn die Berechtigung für das lesen von lokalen Dateien aktiviere. In Adobe Acrobat heisst es, das Plugin sei inkompatibel (32bit, anstatt 64bit) Ich bin absolut entäuscht und würde es nicht einmal als Festplattenfüller empfehlen.

Funktioniert häufig nicht. Referenzen werden zwar häufig gefunden, aber die Übertragung zu Citavi klappt dann häufig aus verschiedensten Gründen nicht (Aktuellster Chrome Browser, Windows 10). So raubt einem das nur Nerven, statt einem Aufwand zu ersparen. Fazit: Unbrauchbar.
Funktioniert kaum richtig
Der Picker funktioniert genau einmal nach Neustart und stürzt dann ab. Völlig unbrauchbar. Mehrfach getestet auf neuen und leistungsstarken PC.
Needed it for uni work since my group settled on this "tool" to track our sources, somehow i ended up feeling like the tool, manually adding in sources. "With the add-on its really easy to add sources.", it's not. For the love of me i couldn't find my projects after logging in and as i can read from others here, people seem to share my experience. And how is it that all my google searches like "Citavi Picker Chrome Store" all lead to Citavis website and none to the chrome web store? Long story short, use anything but citavi.
SOLUTION after 2 hours: 1. In Firefox: open the Add-ons Manager (Ctrl+Shift+A). If the Citavi Picker is disabled, click Enable. It may not appear, go to search bar and write citavi picker and then install. 2.Chrome: FAQ from citavi support opened automatically in MS edge => picker does not appear => last option go to chrome webstore and download, problem was that on edge the download button did not appear and if I tried to go to the chrome web store in chrome it did not find citavi picker. UNTILL copied the link from ms edge in chrome and ONLY then it worked. 3. MS edge: can't remeber exactly, go to extensions and it should appear
