5 minutes on Drops app taught me more Italian than 10 hours on lingopie. wrong translations and no customer service besides an auto-email. Tv selection is very limited. If google didnt keep filtering out the bad reviews they'd have 1 star over all. The glitches are terrible,
Seemed to have a lot of potential, then I found out that even after you subscribe they still need you to get a Netflix subscription on top of their own service charges. I would not have been so frustrated by this if not for a couple of reasons. First and foremost, the advertisement that lead me here was very much a bait-and-switch. It was strongly implied that the episodes of the shows would be hosted on their own website and by extension included within the subscription price. Not only this, but then you are lacking episodes to the shows that Netflix provides because I'm paying them but you can't do the same? Extremely disappointed, please improve.
Wasted Potential From what I saw this seemed to be exactly what I wanted you know? However.. although it has a wide variety of options it seems to have zero for Japanese, I went through all of their good Japanese shows within a week. Not to mention the mechanics of how it worked were also poor, most of it was just captioning and streamlining the process a little bit for you, when it'd rather do better if it had some algorithm decide which words are best for the skill level and timing than make you learn it in the moment then later on review it in flash cards, elsewise I can put captions on my own Netflix and make notes on my own, at least that way I have a far greater amount of watching options and extra cash in my wallet. Another thing to note is that I wish it would describe the words as well.
Ugh, so unfortunate... So much potential! Sometimes it has just one episode cataloged for an entire season. Or the show isn't cataloged/available at all with Lingopie & Netflix. Or it has one season out of five cataloged and the rest are missing. I've been watching "Baby" on Netflix which is a show in Italian. There are three seasons, but only one season is offered with Lingopie. This shows been out for so long. I don't think theres anything more frustrating when it comes to TV than finishing an episode, knowing there is another one after it, but being cut off from watching it. Needs work. But hopefully one day it'll get there! This is ultimately a game changer for language learning - if it was done right!
It doesnt work I did extension Its showing me series in Netflix and episodes but i cannot play them because it says I have to sign to Netflix???
I love the concept and I'm an avid user but the UI and functionality still need a lot of work and polish. I'm willing to stick around and watch this company grow and improve. A lot of potential here.
it does not work! keeps telling me to download extension but the extension is already downloaded!
