This extension allows to find and delete duplicate bookmarks, empty folders, merge folders with the same name (within the same path), find no longer working and expired bookmarks and remove them easily.

Permissions explained:

1. Read and change your bookmarks(required on install) - required for core functions to work

2. Read and change all your data on the websites you visit(optional, not asked until you use Broken URLs checker) – to check if bookmarked page loads and doesn't return any error.

Best extension for finding duplicates in Chrome bookmarks that I could find. There is a critical bug though: For some reason, it marks URLs like the following as duplicates: https://mega.nz/#!ABC https://mega.nz/#!XYZ Or any google search URL like. It has to do with URLs that have # in them.

It is FANTASTIC !! Precisely what you need, no more, no less. It does the four things you most need for your bookmarks. I have 300+ bookmarks. Cleaned them up perfectly GIVE IT A TRY. It is FREE. It does not sort long lists of bookmarks, you can already do that yourself in Chrome. If have to sort them, you may have to many bookmarks.
