AI 产品解读Password manager bridge extension that fills and saves passwords from Apple iCloud Keychain in Chrome browser
Enables Apple ecosystem users (iPhone, iPad, Mac) to use their iCloud Keychain passwords in Chrome, bridging the gap between Apple's password management system and non-Safari browsers on macOS and Windows
User signs into iCloud on their device (macOS or Windows via iCloud for Windows). The extension communicates with the native iCloud helper via nativeMessaging to access encrypted iCloud Keychain passwords. When visiting a website with saved credentials, the extension offers to fill them via toolbar popup or in-page autofill. New passwords created in Chrome are saved back to iCloud Keychain and synced across Apple devices. A verification PIN may be required for initial setup.

- 目标用户
- Apple device users (iPhone/iPad/Mac) who prefer Chrome over Safari on desktop / Windows users with iCloud for Windows installed who want iCloud Keychain passwords in Chrome / Users in the Apple ecosystem seeking cross-device password sync in Chrome
- Extension source code is minified (background.js, content_script.js, page_popup.js, completion_list.js) making deep code-level analysis limited, but the locale files and manifest provide clear evidence for all three decisions.
- Cannot fully verify the native messaging protocol or encryption implementation details due to minification.

No payment, subscription, upgrade, premium, billing, license, purchase, or Stripe-related code found anywhere in the extension source. The 'pro' keyword matches are all false positives from non-English locale translations (e.g., Czech 'prohlížeč' = browser, 'pro' preposition in other languages). The extension is a free companion to Apple's iCloud service and does not gate any features behind payment. iCloud itself has optional paid storage tiers but the extension does not interact with payment flows.

- The extension requires the user to be signed into their Apple iCloud account on the device (macOS or Windows with iCloud for Windows) for the extension to access iCloud Keychain passwords. The extension communicates with the native iCloud helper via nativeMessaging and will show download/setup prompts if the user is not signed in or the helper is not available. The extension itself has no login UI; the Apple ID/iCloud account login is managed at the OS/app level.
Using this extension has allowed me to move off Safari to Chrome on my iMac, while continuing to use Safari on my iPhone and iPad and keeping passwords in synch. While it does ask for authentication to access the key chain, once confirmed, access to the key chain is enabled until the browser is shut down or it seems some period of time (e.g., a few hours). I don't see this as unreasonable, and I'd rather have this step than completely open access to the key chain.
The plugin is also CONSTANTLY asking to provide double factor authentication. Again and again and again. How long do we still need to wait for this to be fixed? There are millions of people using this plugin, can somebody please sort this asap?
Needs some more work. Shouldn't require authenication to first unlock the app after browser restart AND each time you want to apply a password. Needs some configuration options around this for people to set, requiring authentication to unlock after browser restart is a good sane default setting. However, this should also integrate with biometric unlock options as well. Currently, biometrics only works when choosing a password to autofil. Speaking of autofill, there also needs to be a shortcut option added to autofill a password. Currently only a shortcut available to assign for "Activating the extension". Overall, in terms of the passwords application it would be nice to see more features as well. Such as linking multiple URLs to a single password. Addition of attachments. And others things that other password manager provides.
Only saves those added not those already saved on phone! Windows Chrome user!
ne fonctionne jamais
keychain passwords are not available, only those I type in in Chrome
Extremely unstable and makes you go through seemingly unnecessary steps just to access the passwords.
It works great except I pretty sure you can't save passwords with this extension which is a bit annoying. Otherwise great. Thanks Apple. (It would have been easier to give devs access to main Keychain)
Funcionando OK em navegadores chromium no macOS Sonoma.
useless, doesn't support the pc chrome browser well, and it keeps opening the microsoft store to download the icloud app which i already have, even when the activation code tap appears it doesn't sends me any code feels more like a third-party app not an original apple product seems like apple doesn't take other platforms user that much seriously and doesn't appreciate them
