History Trends Unlimited regularly syncs your history to a local database to work around the (approximate) 3-month time limit imposed by Chrome. Your history is saved locally; it's never shared or sent over the network.

Features:

* Interactive charts and stats. Click any of the bar/line/pie charts to filter by a value.

* Search your history by keyword. Or browse it chronologically.

* Access the raw data to perform your own analysis. Click the "Export These Results" link on the Trends or Search page.

* Transfer your history to a new computer. See instructions on the Options page.

To make it work after the migration I had to remove the extension from Chrome, close chrome, re open chrome after a couple minutes (just in case), re install the extension and import the backup file. After that is working perfect with my 5 years of history.

Very useful add-on which would be 5-star worthy with ease as Google itself has opted to not provide browsing history locally for longer than ~90 days, but as of late (September 2023 -> onwards) it has become unreliable at keeping the history accessible due to recent changes on Chrome which causes losing all history due to database corruption(s). Here's hoping that the issue can be fixed, as the extension has been very reliable and powerful tool during my 4 years of use before these recent issues.

History Trends Unlimited uses a storage system (Web SQL) that will soon be removed by Chrome (details can be found here). Your data must be migrated to a new storage system (SQLite WASM). The migration is simple: just follow the steps below. You must migrate to continue using this extension. If you don't migrate, your data will eventually be deleted by Chrome! please fix it,it's very useful extension.

A little over two years ago, I discovered that one's web browsing history on Chrome has a three-month limit. Since then, I've been using this extension to keep a permanent, searchable record of my browsing history. I've transferred this data between computers and restored from backups when I've had problems. For my purposes, this extension is functional and reliable. I wish I could include my mobile browsing history somehow, but that lack is no fault of this extension. Many thanks to the developer for creating and maintaining this tool – and offering it for free! I highly recommend it.

after using for a long time, began receiving "database is locked" or "database disk image is malformed" errors. have weekly full backups, so following faq, reinstalled extension. on both of two most recent backups, receive "Imported 0 urls and 0 visits", "Errors: 39,109 lines could not be imported". wasted my time.

Love it, although I do wish you can change the file name format for the auto backup because I use multiple profiles and the auto backups could get mixed up since they have the same file name format
