The only way to use this is by using a USB flash drive or SD card. The 'pixelbook go' doesn't have USB or SD card inputs so this method of recovery is useless.
Totally broken. Cannot click on "get started"!

It does what it is supposed to do.
I did it on mac. USB won't boot. I tried on Linux. Not supported (so why is the extension even available????). I guess I will use Parallels to try on windows but I'm not optimistic at this point. At any rate, come on google, flex supports Linux to some degree, yet you can't make the USB installer on it? Stupid. EDIT: Patrick Lizaso, what is the work around?
I was running Linux and was able to convert to FLEX os. I found a work around which is easy to do. Once I figured that out the installation was easy.
I was in the same agreement with the comments below, and people are going to say the following to my statement, "I tried that" or "I am".. blah blah. I was logged in on my Windows machine and under my wife's account. Her account is an Admin account, however, when I was getting the message to sign into an Admin Account to give permission, I naturally chose my account and provided the credentials. This failed and it hung up at "Writing". Today I logged on to the computer as I normally would, as it was logged off. I decided again to try and make a Recovery Drive for ChromeOS. I installed the Extension, installed and had the Chrome Device back up and running in about 15 minutes total... Want to make this Recovery Drive? You must be logged in as an Administrator and Using the Admin Creds for the Account you are logged into. With that being said, lets 1: Stop giving grief to these people on here and 2: Google, do better, this should be information provided in your KB online which you provide. Just update your KB to reflect this. You can thank me by giving me 100GB Storage for life. LoL, Yea right, but one could wish, right. Happy Googling everyone!
