This timer is designed to help you be more productive by keeping your fingers on the keyboard. Click the extension icon from your browser to pop a new timer (or bring the existing one into the foreground). Then just type the number of minutes you want the timer to run for and hit Enter. The timer will start as a countdown, filling up as the timer runs so you'll know roughly how much time you have left without breaking your concentration. Once the timer completes, it begins flashing so you know it's complete. If you need to pause the timer, just select the timer popup and hit Space. Space again to resume. If you want to reset the timer (for the previously selected duration) just select the timer popup and hit "R" and it will start over.
Cheatsheet for keyboard shortcuts:
- 1-999 : Start a timer for that many minutes
- R : Reset the timer
- Space : Pause/resume the timer
- ? : Toggle config mode (where you can set the background color, toggle the "ding")

The Cutest Study Timer in the West
Simple visual countdown timer. No beep by default. If the timer stops and you are still concentrating, you can leave it on.
A simple Pomodoro Timer.
Use Timer app as simple and offline countdown tool. This Chrome extension offers 5 minute timer, 1 hour, and other options.
Create timers using placeholders. ie <<0:00+>>, <<5:00->>, <<time>>, <<date>>, <<shortdate>>, <<longdate>>
The most simple countdown timer ever
Love this, it is great for grading, keyboard shortcuts are amazing. My only wish is that in settings their was the option to start a stopwatch when the timer runs out, allowing me to tell how far over the time I have gone.
simply the best
a timer that i want, minimal and clean.
Simple, functional, and comes with keyboard shortcuts. What more could you ask for?
I like this timer. I like the extra keyboard features it offers. I just wish they were available from the icon as a menu as well. Overall this is a really good timer and the task feature if commendable. Thank you for making a video of your features.
I like one particular feature of this timer, i.e that the remaining time is shown on the taskbar, instead of the need to click on the icon to view it, as in other timers. However, I noticed that sometimes, upon completion, the timer only shows 00.00, or blinks -----/DONE! on the taskbar, and fails to notify with a "ding" bell sound .... until I click on it. I would also prefer that the timer's pop-up appears on the right side (near the icon itself), and provides the option to set the number of minutes for the timer to run by: (a) clicking on preset times (30s, 1m, 5m, 10m, 30m, 1 hr), or creating your own using a combination of the preset ones the way Timer Counter (https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/timer-countdown/lpopfncaoeljgopgbdcgaklafemlbjbe?pli=1 allows), or (b) typing in the minutes (as is currently the method used), and (c) the ability to repeat, or select timers as in (a) or (b) above.
This is really nice, you should definitely see the video to get an idea of how to use it. I love that I can use it with the keyboard only! The only exception is the task list which seems to need the mouse?
Well, it works. That's pretty much it. Maybe better if it had an option to fill time elapsed vertically instead of horizontally, like if I stick it to the left or right side of the screen instead of to the top or bottom.
Good, not great! Timer really needs a audio alarm. Without one, you need to keep looking at the timer causing you to waste time and be less productive. An adjustable alarm would allow time to run in the background. I am a middle school teacher and I need a timer with an alarm that I can display to keep students on track. Without and audio alarm, this is not it. It's really close, just needs this last option...
This is a great extension! I love how it helps me visualize my schedule/timer. As a suggestion, would it be possible to add an option for users to pick different colors for breaks, tasks, assignments, projects, etc.? This would make it even easier to understand my schedule/timer at a glance and could help me stay more organized. Perhaps a color palette or the ability to choose custom colors would be helpful. Additionally, ensuring color choices are accessible would be fantastic!
