This worked fine, now asking permission for all data on all websites = NOT HAPPENING. Sadly, I paid for this and this was a decent product but changing the rules in the middle of the game (after paying) isn't good. Hopefully they can sort this out. Until that time I would recommend against installing or buying this.

Overall a great utillity for those that value finding the info they want from their history quickly and easily. Having this extra layer of usability should have quite frankly been built in. It's worth the money even if ChatGPT ever decides to as it seems like Echoes is looking for ways to expand its functionality. Customer service was excellent and responsive.

from a technical standpoint, the app seems very solid and professional. However, it tries to sell you its pro version quite aggressively, withholding some of the search results from you without it, which makes it essentially unuseable for me.

This extension is excellent, and the one-star complaints about data access, privacy, and misconfiguration are really unfair - this is why I leave this review. I've been using it since the beginning and stopped for a few months waiting for the extension to support ChatGPT Team. The new version does that and much more: a merged history with Claude.AI, a more powerful search engine. From a productivity standpoint, this is gold and I really missed it. Regarding privacy concerns, the extension is private by design as the history is stored locally and never leaves our device. The recent update did indeed require access to all sites due to cross-compatibility with Claude.AI and maybe due to a quick fix for the recent domain change of ChatGPT, but this is something the developer will fix in the coming days. Moreover, this is something you can configure within the extension settings to restrict access only to specific domains. Anyway, it does what it says, and does it well. A must-have extension for AI power-users and well deserved 5 stars.

Sorry .. but requesting access to ALL websites & ALL data, is a HUGE risk... its not something to be taken lightly! I don't know why/how developer(s) thought this could be a good idea!! The extension works only on OpenAI, ChatGPT domains and maybe Claude AI ... Using regular expressions, you can have "enough" access to these domains only (and their potential subdomains too) but that's it! Message to developer(s): We (users) cannot and should not trust you (or anyone) ... I'm not accusing you with anything... but saying something like: "rest assured that these permissions are only used to enhance user experience" does not help AT ALL! This is like asking me to give you the 4-digit PIN code for my credit card... but hey! "rest assured that its for a good cause! your privacy is important to me! " lol
