Bookmark Favicon Changer
Change your bookmark favicon with ease using the Bookmark Favicon Changer extension. Simply click the extension icon or open the options page. Right-click on any bookmark, and a popup menu will appear, offering options to “Change Favicon,” “Reset Favicon,” and “Export Favicon.”
Key Features:
- Use any image file or image URL supported by your browser as a favicon.
- Automatically resize images to a maximum of 512x512 pixels and save them as PNG files.
- No need to keep the original favicon file after changing it.

Infelizmente, essa extensão só cumpre o propósito de alterar os ícones dos favoritos, não comportando a modificação dos ícones das pastas. A alteração dos ícones dos favoritos, já possibilitada pela extensão, ajuda muito na organização visual e agilidade de navegação, mas o benefício seria ainda maior se a extensão também possibilitasse a alteração dos ícones das pastas em que os favoritos são organizados. Além disso, a extensão há problema na interface gráfica da extensão, que possui um layout antiquado, lembrando softwares da década de 90, onde a organização da disposição de informações e esquema de cores utilizados não eram planejados para deixa o uso mais intuitivo e democrático para todos. Outro ponto de atenção diz respeito à linguagem, já que a ferramenta só é compatível com o idioma inglês, sendo um obstáculo para a plena compreensão e usabilidade dos membros da comunidade que não tenham fluência em inglês. Enfim, a serventia plena da extensão se restringe a um perfil específico de usuários: millenials anglófonos que não querem alterar o ícone das pastas da barra de favoritos. Por isso, não recomendo para usuários Boomers e GenZs, tampouco para aqueles que não tenham fluência em inglês, nem para quem precisa alterar ícones de pastas onde os favoritos podem ser organizados.

Changes the bookmark icon, but does not seem to change the tab icon. Very limited. UI pretty clunky.

I'm going 3 starts because I assumed it works for URL bookmarks, although it seems to be anti-intuitive in general, it doesn't work for Javascript bookmarklets or bookmark folders, just simpler to use unicode

No ads no premium just works
This web extension works and lets me change the icons on my bookmarks bar. It looks a lot more organized now and helpful as a student! This was the only one I found working on the webstore. Thank you!
