Very useful
GREAT

Chrome integration doesn't work... all downloads happen inside Chrome's own downloader, not the external FDM manager. This is pointless because I can't resume downloads if the internet cuts out, nor does it have threaded downloads. Alt key, FDM browser context menu, or any other options don't open downloads in the FDM program.
i wish there could be a ,download pop up, like IDM where downloading was easy ..or can u illustrate to me how to download a movie clip from go movies.com...

Have to decrease my rating. Have reached out several times to the developer as a developer myself to offer helpful advice on KNOWN issues plaguing this new v5 codebase. Unfortunately, even opening support tickets in addition to posting, like MANY others, in their dedicated forum thread for this v5 line - has resulted in no responses or changes. One major bug now for many months that I reported some time ago in BOTH methods was the change to the way FDM writes it's files. It now writes ALL files, despite the single setting for pre-allocating space (which unbelievably won't even allow anything under a GIGABYTE) as SPARSE files. The effect of this is CATASTROPIC in my testing. Onedrive, for instance, one of the few major cloud sync providers, will actually not even sync Sparse attributed files properly. Translation - don't use FDM to download hundreds or thousands of documents and other files into your cloud or it will be absolutely DESTROYED and you will wind up weeding out BY HAND all the files (only those thanks to FDM) with the "P" added (usually as "AP" with the archive bit). There are MANY other apps/utils that have MAJOR issues with large disc images (ie. ISO) that are flagged as SPARSE. I have even shot videos of these bugs and nobody cares. The easiest workaround of course would be for this small freeware download manager to either add a simply option to disable the use of SPARSE writing all together (2016 behavior which worked just fine), fix it's absurd bug and just allow ANY size in it's ALREADY EXISTING option to preallocate (this in essence IS the sparse choice), or at the very least perhaps reply as to why they are the only DM that MUST use sparse, and here is why it's worth having to manually make FULL COPIES of every single file downloaded using FDM. COPYING, BTW is the ONLY way in most WIN OS' to convert a file back to non-sparse - there is simply NOT any "easy" method to attrib it back as non-sparse and copying then destroys the original file creation times not to mention all the other headaches of doubling manually every file touched with this utility. I loved this tool but there are other bugs (a couple others also pretty major) and the other basic function of "remembering" my target folder choice based on a simple file extension also simply does not work properly anymore, either. These major bugs not being addressed is like ripping the bucket off of the digger and then wanting to continue calling it a digger for years to come - FDM as a "download manager" kind of needs to do TWO simple things - 1. Download files efficiently, and 2. Categorize and manage those downloads BETTER than I do using a folder selection box. For about a year - it does NOT meet that simple criteria for a FDM as the files are broken/garbage/SPARSE and then I still now must MANUALLY select EVERY target folder in FDM for download which is now the EXACT SAME as a manual download without FDM. :( Hopefully, the DEVs can begin listening to their forum and support ticket users before we just move to other solutions. If this DEV finally does address these major issues, or even makes an ATTEMPT I will certainly return my rating to the original 4-5 stars.
very good
