Stuck on a black screen. This isn't a Manifest V3 thing is it?

Extension was also stuck on a black screen for every new tab but after removing it & readding it the issue seems to be fixed!

was working fine until yesterday when it gets stuck on a black screen. Changed the settings to a new artwork on every new tab and now it occasionally load a new artwork, or it will refresh sometimes to an image that works, but the majority of images just show a black screen.

Was a great extension, but stopped working recently? Never loads the background images anymore. Just black. Seems stuck on trying to load Flight Pattern by Rob Evans at James A. Michener Art Museum.

This is a great extension, thank you for making it! However, the recent update shows "Loading..." text, which is annoying. Could you please remove it — blank screen is perfectly fine until the picture loads.

It was a nice app, used it for years, but they recently requested a bunch of additional permissions which are not necessary for the core functionality.

Provides cultural enrichment by showing a beautiful artwork each time a user opens a new Chrome tab, replacing the default new tab page

Extension overrides Chrome's new tab page (chrome_url_overrides). Background service worker fetches artwork data JSON from gstatic.com/culturalinstitute/tabext/imax_2_2.json and caches it. When user opens a new tab, the newtab page renders a curated artwork with title, artist name, and attribution.
