Try h264ify if YouTube videos stutter, take up too much CPU, eat battery life, or make your laptop hot.
By default, YouTube streams VP8/VP9 encoded video. However, this can cause problems with less powerful machines because VP8/VP9 is not typically hardware accelerated.
In contrast, H.264 is commonly hardware accelerated by GPUs, which usually means smoother video playback and reduced CPU usage. h264ify makes YouTube stream H.264 videos instead of VP8/VP9 videos.
Note: 4K and 1440p videos will not be available because YouTube no longer encodes those videos in H.264

will aus nicht ersichtlichen grund neuerdings auf eigene Youtube daten zugreifen, um den codec zu änder ist dies wohl sicher nicht nötig. Deinstall
Something added this without my knowledge permission at some point. Had a few days where videos were just janky. I suppose it was working as intended, but when this is added to your device without knowing it's just annoying.
Отличное расширение, качество не изменилось, а вот нагрузка существенно уменьшилась. Всем рекомендую, даже если нет проблем.

Good extension for low PC.
아니 이거 설치한 이후로 4k자체가 안뜨는데 어떻게 된겁니까? 이거 삭제 어떻게 하나요?
it seems to work
I've tried this extension a few times and honestly don't know what it does. The stuttering was still there and I tried going through the options to see if I was doing something wrong but nothing seemed to work. I use an ASUS Chromebook 4GB
