# Overview
This extension reads web pages with text to speech (TTS) and highlights one sentence at a time. It doesn't require you to select any text first. It doesn't launch a new weird web page. And it's totally free with no sign in or registration required. And it's ad free.
By default it reads the whole page, top to bottom. However, if you select any text, even just a word, it starts reading at your selection, but continues on from there until you stop it, or it reaches the end of the page. Now with better "sentence" identification.
# Use Cases

looking for multiple extensions to use, i only found this one which worked with no problems, had many voices and was integrated beautifully with the web, great work
No funciona
My main reason for it doesn't work. I like to have it read a page while I'm viewing another tab...it stops reading when the other tab is selected. : - (
Works for me but its annoying that i can't turn it off sometimes
well it works but it the only down side is that it reads like"main menu service page artivle help..." u get it but it is countered by selecting where to read from but it is hard to do in places like wikepedia, i like the slowness so u can comprehend and u can write while it speaks. overall 4 stars.
It works and I like that it doesn't bring up separate window like many other app does. but it reads too slow, even at max 150% its too slow. if speed can go up to 200% or even 250% then it'd be nice.
why isnt it working AT ALL for me??? -_- lame. wouldnt even give it ONE star
Did not work, slowed down my chromebook.
I would like it to be able to start reading with the right mouse button, at the point on the page where I want it to be read. I would also like the reading speed to be as fast as [Read Alaud], for this, use the windows voice installed instead the google api. for now the best reader for web pages, translated or not, is Microsoft Edge's native reader, unfortunately it's still a bit slow. sorry for the bad english.
It could be a useable extension if I could listen to it at about 4X the current max speed.
