Thank you! I wanted to block shorts and saw a recipe using blocktube. I saw plugins to do this, but none of them would even reveal where the servers were situated.

can't search video when enable this extension
Really good. Recommendation: a version of this extension should be made for mobile the YouTube website on the Kiwi browser.
Doesn't work
This is the best youtube blocker that I used so far. I just installed and transferred most of my blocked list into this one. What I liked about this extension is that it actually logs in the channel ID instead of Name which can be changed or bypassed while the ID is a unique identifier that can't be changed. What I also like about this extension is that you can block specific videos and comments. I love this feature because there are some very persistent videos being recommended to me when I search Youtube. I want to block those videos but I don't necessary want to block the their channel it just that their video always appears whenever I search it's the algorithm's fault. So this video helps me a ton by enabling me to block specific videos. EDIT: February 24. blocking via using the context menu doesn't work anymore but you can still manually block channel by manually inputting the channel's ID and it works. Edit: It's now working again. Suggestions: Please integrate auto-sync via Google Drive or let us specify the folder location for when importing backup. Otherwise, this extension is already perfect and future proof as well because it tags using the channel's ID instead of name and when something happens in the future, like youtube taking down this like extension like what they did with vance, then I can easily convert my backup for other alternatives blockers.
