The recent version has a issue where I cannot scroll down to see the whole site and highlight the footer items for information. This wasn't an issue on the previous versions. Hope it will be fixed soon.
Awesome plugin. This, paired with webkit's inspector, are priceless for web developers. No browser comes close to the utility that Google Chrome does equipped with these two tools.
The new version needs access to a to all my browsing history, private data and so on... is it dangerous? Why?!
Having used this in Firefox, I was delighted to find that the Chrome version provided all the functionality I personally needed. This is simply the best all-in-one tool around. I suppose that after using it a while, I may find something I don't like, but hat has not happened yet. Fine work. To those people who insist on whining about their browsing history being accessed, well, as a developer you should be capable enough to research that before you complain. You should also be clever enough to know how to prevent that behavior at will. I will leave that as an exercise.
Why does the extension need access to all my browsing history and private data?

The issue with the extension allowing notifications on all sites has been fixed in version 0.4.8: http://chrispederick.com/work/web-developer/help/#allow-notifications
WIth the new permission requirements I am uninstalling the extension.
