As someone with an OLED monitor, which of course is prone to burn-in from bright, static elements, this extension is a lifesaver. Before I started using this extension, after just 4-5 months of use on YouTube, I had started noticing slight burn-in from the bright white text video title (I use dark mode) below the video player. This extension fixes that, and much more. Everyone with an OLED needs an extension like this. Unfortunately though, starting today (December 13, 2025) I have found that the extension dims not only everything surrounding the video, but also the video itself. Not sure what's going on. Maybe YouTube changed something in how the video is displayed, and the extension simply needs an update to reflect this change, and exclude the video itself from the dimming.

So, I had a bad review in the past, but everything I wrote was fixed by the developer in the new version, which I think is amazing (I mean, the developer actually cares and reads reviews and even addresses problems), so I removed the older review, and in this I think it is only fair to give a 5★ rating. Good job! 🥳
