This extension adds a toolbar button to your browser to perform OCR. When this action button is pressed, it allows the user to select a region in the currently active window. The extension captures the area and tries to recognize text inside this region using the internal powerful OCR engine (Tesseract engine). This extension uses the "tesseract.js" library that supports more than 100 languages, automatic text orientation, and script detection.
This extension loads the JS library on the page and removes it when you are done. This way, there is no long-term resource usage.
Engines:
Tesseract: Only extracts plain text from images and doesn't preserve formatting
IBM Granite-Docling: it can accurately interpret headings, lists, styles (bold, italics), tables, and mathematical equations.

Not perfect but it works. So far tried it on Google Play Books. Have to make some edits but overall, does what it does. Copy Fish doesn't work as well but it works much better once you download something else on Top. I'm trying to avoid that. This app does it.
Works perfectly
It has more misses than hits... (tried to OCR Simplified Chinese characters)
No es perfecto, tiende a equivocarse con algunas letras sobre todo si es código pero funciona.
I really love this extension. It does exactly what it says. Just select a slide, image or video with text on it and it will extract and generate the text so you can copy to clipboard.

É preciso saber usar, existe uns macetes. Por exemplo, se quiser capturar o texto de uma imagem é preciso capturar por partes às vezes, se a imagem tiver mensagens divididas por partes e você tentar capturar tudo dá erro, nesse caso capture por partes que você conseguirá capturar praticamente tudo que está na imagem.
